So much for Sunday
We feel very much the April Fool now that a shoulder injury has taken us out of commission for at least the next week. No joke that we won’t be posting until then – in the meantime, we’ll be visiting you and catching up…
Oh my gosh, this is horrible news! Whatever were you doing?? So, we have “spring break” for 2cents and Big 5? I’ll have to make you some treats as I’m sending up fervent prayers for your quick/complete healing.
You are my fudgy salvation! I lifted a too heavy box over my head and twisted into a weird position about a month ago; never let it fully heal (too much to do) and then threw out the shoulder (rotator cuff) reaching for my alarm clock at an odd angle – don’t laugh! Excruciating pain, a visit to the emergency, at least 6 x-rays and a shot of cortisone later I was told to keep it immobilized for at least a week…. I’ll let inspiration accumulate and be back on top of things soon enough!
Oh my gosh–I’m not laughing. Now, don’t laugh at me either: I’m learning that part of the wisdom of aging, is remembering HOW to move, how NOT to move. I can’t just move willy-nilly about my apt if I want to avoid painful sprains and colorful bruising. And I have to relearn the moves every time I decide to change the furniture around…because feet, etc, still recall the previous placement, ergo, pain and purpling.
Sending you my peanut butter fudge before I eat it all up–and mega prayers. Now just stay put, don’t move, Lovey!
Poor you, hope you recover quickly.
