Well, ya see…I have a burned carpet spot too, melted synthetic I’m sure. It’s rather football shaped, but it’s from setting a broiler pan down…don’t ask. Anyhoo, I’ve got it covered with a throw rug, otherwise the conversation seems to stay stuck on the spot.
Ok, mystery solved – “apparently” a bottle of Scrubbing Bubbles fell onto its side and leaked, lying there for who knows how many days, was surely stepped over on the way to the fridge, sink, washer, etc. without anyone “noticing” until someone put it back in the cupboard…. Makes you wonder doesn’t it?
I hope not – it’s in the bin now… funny story though, the edges were fraying and the fringe coming off and I was having a hard time parting with it for sentimental reasons – now I have no choice!
Yes, it can’t be always the dog’s fault. LOL!

You evidently have some experience with household disasters – burned but by what? The wool was literally melted away! I’ll post the culprit tomorrow….

Yes especially the circle crop. Loved the comparison! Sorry about the rug though. Was it valuable?

Well …you could have re-arranged the furniture and covered it? Some things I cannot part with either until forced.

It was small – about 2.5 x 3 – and had already been relegated to the laundry room…
